The Cohiba Behike BHK 54 is a Cuban gem and definitely not for fans of light cigars. This vitola is one of the most sought-after Habanos and sets standards in terms of complexity and variety of flavors. A significant contribution to this is made by the exceptional selection of tobacco leaves. The Cohiba torcedores make a selective choice even after the harvest and secure the best leaves from all manufactures at an early stage. The Behike series also uses Medio Tiempo leaves as a fourth inner leaf - these are the top two leaves of the tobacco plant. These leaves are known for their distinct aroma and intensity.
The variety of aromas impresses from the start, dominated by cocoa, subtle pepper, noble wood and balanced roasted aromas. Accompanying aromas of coffee, leather, mossy earth and nut add to the complexity of the vitola, which gains intensity as the smoke progresses. The smoke is exceptionally sweet and dense, underpinned with a mild bitter note.
The cigar is tightly rolled and perfectly finished externally. It has a matte Colorado finish with a very fine and slightly textured veining. The distinctive and unusual Cohiba belly band immediately catches the eye.
With a ring gauge of 54 and a length of 14.29 centimeters, the Habano offers about an hour and a half of unforgettable pleasure.
