The bottle label has recently undergone a complete redesign, but the distinctive taste that connoisseurs love so much has remained unchanged.

Taste and aroma

Aroma: The bouquet exudes intense fruity aromas of green apples, coupled with seductive notes of toffee, caramel and cinnamon, and a hint of honey.

Taste: On the tongue, the whisky unfolds lightly and gently. The sweetness of brown sugar and caramel combines harmoniously with the fruity notes and is complemented by citrus and grassy notes.

Finish: The finish is rather short and dry, with a slight spiciness and a hint of ginger that gives the finish a spicy kick.

Maturation in Oak Casks

The Deveron 12 year is matured in "Oak Casks", which indicates that it is aged in ex-bourbon casks. This process gives the whisky its fruity and caramel flavours.

Unique condenser arrangement

The Macduff distillery attributes the characteristic flavour of the Deveron 12 Year to the special arrangement of the condensers for the wash stills and spirit stills.
